The Kalamkari painting depicts a number of important scenes from the epic that describes the story of Lord Ramchandra, his going to exile with His wife Seeta and brother Lakshmana. Seeta was abducted by demon king Ravana and ultimately Lord Ramchandra with the help of Hanuman rescued Seeta from the clutches of Ravana. Hanuman is a great devotee of Lord Ramchandra and he played a key role in rescuing Seeta. Ravana met his death at the hands of Lord Ramchandra and the epic signifies the triumph of good over bad.
